Dennis James West (as his mother called him when she wanted his attention and “DJ” when she was more endearing) grew up in rural Thomson, not far from Augusta, GA, Home of the world famous Master’s Golf Tournament.  He attended school in McDuffie County, which did not integrate until 1971.  Local residents experienced pros and cons as a result.  He played all three sports during his School years:  Baseball, Football, and Basketball. In 1973, Dennis started studying Karate at Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Over the next few years, defining events occurred which would prove to be life changing:  He totally embraced the art and discipline of Karate; He began competing in tournaments throughout the Southeast – August 1974, he defeated his dojo mate to become the Georgia State Champion in the Junior Division. Later became a top rated karate player in the under belt divisions. He later became a Black Belt in which he was a rated fighter in the Black Belt Division. He still holds the rank of 8th Degree Black Belt in Tai Karate. 

 He became employed by the McDonald’s Corporation October 1974. There he met some wise and seasoned gentlemen who really took care of and mentored him.

The next few years were Epic!  In 1975, he became a Karate Club Owner.  Also, he became a first time father. In 1976, Dennis received his Black Belt in Karate.  As he traveled the United States and the  world, he won tournaments and titles, as the number one Black Belt in the Super Lightweight Division.  As he opened and operated several Karate Studios in the CSRA, he also pursued a career in management with McDonald’s Corporation. Dennis started ascending up the Corporate ladder in 1979. Before holding the position of Director of Operations, he held several positions with McDonald’s before retirement.  Since this time, he has coached and successfully worked with several owners and operators of McDonald's restaurants. He became involved in the Beauty Business with then wife Belinda K. Baker. TSC” (Trade Secret Consultants) was established by Dennis and Belinda Baker, a committed business woman and cosmetologist, whom he met in 1982.  They offered classes and consultation to the beauty industry, which later became Baker West Consolidated.  The pair was on the cutting edge of innovations in the beauty industry with Instructional Videos, Training, Structural Set Up, etc.  It remains a very successful endeavor under a different names: “IMG” and "Salon BKB" – Integrity Management Group. IMG assists salon owners with building clientele, repeat business, retaining clients, and a well developed staff.  West Enterprises was established to handle different areas of business which IMG built.  

Business areas such as: Salon Management, Sales Training, Restaurant Operations, Artist Management, Music Production, Sales Distribution, Writing, Publishing, and Stage and Film Production. IMG later became "AMG" Albranta Management Group which still operates today a Division of DWest Consolidated Inc.

Over the next decade, West Enterprises later became "DWest Consolidated Inc". represented a lot of artists, promoted a plethora of events, published book and released albums.  2010 was the year my oldest daughter “Chanta” joined the company, “to learn the business.”  So did Gregory Dixon, a budding entrepreneur in his own right.  Gregory had extensive knowledge and background in the food industry. From this partnership, “Perfect Pastries” was established – bite sized pastries supplied to Delta Airlines.  During this time, Dennis met an author with six books and three stage plays to her credit.  He became her manager. This was a gainful venture which lead to his signing another artist.  He was quickly making a name for himself as Producer and Director.

In 2014, he moved back home to assist in the care of his ailing mother. In between caring for her, he was putting the final touches on his own play.  July 2015, his first stage play, “The Password” debuted to a sell out crowd; a new avenue was opened; writer.  DWest Consolidated Inc was born – which serves as the parent company for Albranta Entertainment.  We represent clients across the globe.  Who would have thought a little country boy from Thomson, GA would do wonders.  This is what Dennis would say,
